WWE Superstars Released 2007
Chris Masters was only the latest WWE Superstar released in 2007. ECW seems to be the hardest hit, with ECW Originals Sabu & The Sandman both on the list, along with newcomers Ariel, Brooke & Marcus Cor Von. Sadly, Scotty 2 Hotty, long a member of WWE, also finally got the axe in 2007.
As of now, only King Booker & Queen Sharmell have found a new home with TNA - but more will probably follow, as TNA continues to pick up the cast-offs from WWE.
According to wwe.com, the following WWE Superstars were released this year (other than Chris Masters, wwe.com did not mention the reason for the release):

- Sep 11 - The Sandman
- Sep 02 - Cryme Tyme

- Aug 22 - Dan Rodman
- Aug 13 - Shantelle Malawski
- Aug 13 - Sylvain Grenier
- Aug 06 - Idol Stevens
- Jun 22 - Trinity
- May 15 - Sabu
- May 15 - Ariel
- May 15 - Scotty 2 Hotty
- May 15 - Nick Mitchell (”The Spirit Squad”)
- May 15 - Vito
