Synopsis
In a quiet little suburban town, housewife Mary Alice Young (Strong) decided to end it all. Now, she takes us into the lives of her friends and neighbors, including Bree Hodge (Cross), Susan Mayer (Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Huffman), Gabrielle Solis (Longoria-Parker) and Edie Britt (Sheridan).
Why We Watch
When “Desperate Housewives” first started, I was unsure if I was going to like it. 6 women living in a ritzy neighborhood in what most people would call dream houses? Sounds a bit too perfect.
Turns out, nothing is perfect in this series - other than Brie’s etiquette (!)
When they killed off one of the characters in the first episode, it suddenly got more interesting. Now, as the dead woman narrates, the series focuses on the 5 remaining women and their trials and tribulations.
Needless to say, I’ve been sucked in.
This season, things have changed drastically. Fast-forwarding 5 years into the future, a lot of unexplained changes have occurred (including vamp Gabrielle becoming a frumpy housewife), there’s more reasons than ever to tune in.
