★★☆☆☆ Doomsday (2008)

Plot: After containing the deadly Reaper virus in Scotland for 3 decades, a sudden outbreak in a major city outside the country prompts an urgent dispatch of an elite group of specialists, captained by Eden Sinclair (Mitra), into the still-quarantined Scotland to retrieve a cure by any means neccessary. Shut off from the rest of the world, the unit must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare.

 

Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans (2009)

Plot: In this prequel to Underworld (2003), a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) joins forces with Sonja (Mitra) and rallies the werewolves to rise up against their vampire enslavers, headed by Viktor (Nighy).

 

★★★★☆ The Number 23 (2007)

Plot: When his wife buys him a book for his birthday, dog catcher Walter Sparrow (Carrey) is unimpressed. As he reads the book, however, he begins to discover that he and the degenerate main character share some remarkable similarities. As Walter continues to read, and both he and the main character began obsessing about the number 23, the main character commits a horrible crime…and Walter becomes convinced he’s fated to follow the same path.

 

★★☆☆☆ Shooter (2007)

Plot: Ex-Marine Bob Lee Swagger (Wahlberg) is approached and asked to plot a sharpshooter attack on the President Of The US. He does so, after being assured the plan he draws up is to be used to prevent such a sniper attack from happening. When he is double-crossed and framed for the shooting of a diplomat, Swagger has to uncover who set him up - and why. Kinda hard to do, since the whole country is on the lookout for him.

★★☆☆☆ Get Carter (2000)

Plot: Jack Carter (Stallone) is a man you don’t want to know. If you know him, it usually means you haven’t paid the mob. When his brother is killed, Jack pays a visit. Now, he’s got the mob after him for skipping town (and sleeping with the boss’ wife), and a whole conspiracy of people around him, including old pal Cyrus (Rourke) and computer geek Kinnear (Cumming). Everybody’s out to Get Carter…but everybody should look out, because Carter is out for revenge. Based on the novel Jack’s Return Home by Ted Lewis.
