Although the Golden Globes ceremony was cancelled due to the Writer’s Guild Strike, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association released the names of the winners starting at 9pm EST, with NBC airing the names as they were announced. Here are the nominees…and the winners.

Plot: While practicing his vows for his upcoming wedding to Victoria (Carter), Victor (Depp) accidentally proposes to Emily, who is very lively for a person in her state of decomposition. Now, Victor is stuck in the Land of the Dead with a wife he never expected.

Plot: Chocolatier Willy Wonka (Depp) hasn’t been seen since he closed his factory to the public 15 years ago. But, he has suddenly decided to issue 5 golden tickets hidden amongst his Wonka bars. The prize: a trip inside his chocolate factory, with him as the tour guide! For Charlie Bucket and his grandfather, it’s a dream come true. But they don’t know what the real reason for the tour is…yet. Based on the novel by Roald Dahl.

Plot: Gene Watson (Depp) has just stepped off the train with his daughter when he is approached by Mr. Smith (Walken) and Ms. Jones (Maffia). They flash badges at Gene and escort him to van parked outside. But these aren’t cops. It turns out Gene has been chosen for a job and given a choice: either assassinate the Governor of California by 1:30 pm - or his daughter dies. With only 1 hour and 16 minutes before the deadline, time is definitely not on Gene’s side…

Plot: When she was younger, Elizabeth (Knightley) helped rescue the only survivor of a pirate attack, a young boy named Will, who was wearing a mysterious pirate gold medallion. Fearing for Will’s safety, young Elizabeth hides the medallion and forgets about it…until years later, when she discovers it may be part of a curse on the crew of the Black Pearl, a pirate ship of legend. Rogue CIA Agent Sands (Depp) has a bold plan. He knows that the Mexican cartel, headed by Barillo (Dafoe), has sent General Marquez (Vigil) to affect a coup d’etat on the president of Mexico, and put Barillo in control of Mexico. Sands’ plan: send the famous El Mariachi (Banderas) to kill General Marquez, whom El has a vendetta with - after Marquez kills the president. But when Sands’ plans start to backfire, it’s up to El Mariachi to do what’s best for Mexico.
