Gone In 60 Seconds (2000)Plot: Randall “Memphis” Raines (Cage) was a car thief - one of the best, in fact - until he quit the life, 6 years ago. When his brother, Kip (Ribisi), gets in trouble from big-time thug Raymond Calitri (Eccleston), Memphis has to go back to life, and steal 50 cars for Calitri in one night…or Kip dies. On top of that, he’s got a cop (Lindo) who is dying to nab him for grand theft auto and a gang of car thieves that want him dead. A remake of the 1974 film.
The Mothman Prophecies (2002)Plot: Distraught by the death of his wife (Messing) two years ago, John Klein (Gere), a Washington Post reporter, finds himself in a small town in West Virginia with no idea how he got there. Found by a local police sergeant (Linney), he soon learns many of the town’s residents have seen a “moth-like” creature, identical to the one his wife said she saw before she died. Now he must convince the sergeant that calamity is about to come to this small town, and nothing can stop it. Based on actual events.
