★★★★☆ Live Free Or Die Hard (2007)

Plot: As Independence Day weekend begins, a hacker (Olyphant) breaks into the FBI Cyber-Security Division Worried, the FBI calls on local police, including NYPD Det. John McClane (Willis), to round up suspect hackers. But, what seems to be a somewhat routine - but annoying - assignment turns into chaos when the hackers break into every major computer system in D.C. Now, it’s up to McClane and his unwilling hacker suspect Matthew Ferrell (Long) to stop the cyber-terrorist before he sends the US back to the Dark Ages.

Plot: Matthew (Hirsch), a senior in high school, is a great student and has already been accepted to Georgetown. To get to Georgetown, however, he must get a scholarship by proving his moral fiber. Then, Danielle (Cuthbert) moves in next door. He immediately falls for her, only to later discover her sordid past. Now, as her past begins to make itself known, he must weave his way through the tangle his life has become and discover what’s truly important to him.

★★½☆☆ Dreamcatcher (2003)

Plot: Four friends are on their annual deer hunting getaway. Everything is going well until they suddenly encounter a few mysterious strangers who aren’t feeling well. As the condition of the strangers worsens, the friends are suddenly thrust into a bizarre alien encounter. These four friends are unique though, possessing special “gifts” given to them by a childhood friend, Duddits (Wahlberg). To save themselves, and quite possibly the entire planet, they must once again rely on Duddits…or all hope is lost. Based on the novel by Stephen King.

Plot: While her dealer friend Simon (Askew) is in Las Vegas for a wild and crazy weekend, Ronna (Polley) is asked by two guys, Adam (Wolf) and Zack (Mohr) to sell drugs to them. Ronna and her friends go over Simon’s head to his dealer (Olyphant) to buy the drugs. As Simon’s weekend unfolds, Adam and Zack’s story gets stranger and stranger, and Ronna and her friends go out on a wild night on the town. But who will survive the night?

Plot: Randall “Memphis” Raines (Cage) was a car thief - one of the best, in fact - until he quit the life, 6 years ago. When his brother, Kip (Ribisi), gets in trouble from big-time thug Raymond Calitri (Eccleston), Memphis has to go back to life, and steal 50 cars for Calitri in one night…or Kip dies. On top of that, he’s got a cop (Lindo) who is dying to nab him for grand theft auto and a gang of car thieves that want him dead. A remake of the 1974 film.
