★★★★½ X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)

Plot: A “cure” for mutants has been found, and is being offered to mutants at clinics. Fearing that “voluntary cures” is only the beginning, Magneto (McKellen) and his Brotherhood of Mutants intend to stop it before all mutants are “cured”. His only obstacle? The X-Men. But, is Magneto the real threat, or will the X-Men suffer more at the hands of an old friend? Based on the Marvel Comic characters.

Plot: As the debate about mutant registration heats up, Magneto (McKellen) and his so-called Brotherhood of Mutants hatch a plot to change the world’s leaders into mutants. The only ones who can stop this powerful group are the newly formed X-Men, a team of mutants lead by Professor X (Stewart). Based on the Marvel Comic characters.

 

★½☆☆☆ The Punisher (2004)

Plot: Just before Frank Castle retires from the FBI, a sting operation takes the life of one of the sons of wealthy Mr. Saint (Travolta). Saint takes his revenge by murdering Frank’s entire family. Now Frank is looking for Mr. Saint. Don’t call it revenge, though - this is punishment. Based on the Marvel comic book character by the same name.

★★★★☆ X2: X-Men United (2003)

Plot: After an attack on the President of the United States, mutants are being hunted by a man named Striker (Cox)…and Xavier’s School for the Gifted is the first target. Now, Wolverine (Jackman), Iceman (Ashmore), Rogue (Paquin),Pyro (Stanford), Storm (Berry), Jean Grey (Janssen), Cyclops (Marsden), Nightcrawler (Cumming) and Charles Xavier (Stewart) need to do the improbable…team up with Mystique (Romijn) and recently escaped Magneto (McKellan)…to save all of mutant kind.

★★½☆☆ Femme Fatale (2002)

Plot: After double-crossing fellow heisters, Laure Ash (Romijin-Stamos) makes off with $10 million in jewels. After being thrown off a balcony, she is mistaking for another woman, who she then witnesses kill herself. Seeing a perfect opportunity to start a new life in America, she takes the woman’s passport and leaves. Fast forward to seven years later, when French photographer Nicolas Bardo (Banderas) is hired to take a picture of the extremely camera shy newly-appointed French Ambassador’s wife. Guess who?

Plot: Ridley (LL Cool J) introduces Jonathan Cross (Klein) to the most extreme sport of all time..Rollerball. Cross is caught up in the money and fame until an “accident” on the track causes him to rethink his values. Now, he must fight the owner (Reno), as well as some of the other players, in a game for high stakes…his life.
