★★★★☆ The World Is Not Enough (1999)

Plot: After M’s (Dench) friend is killed right under their noses, British super-spy James Bond (Brosnan) is sent to protect King’s daughter, (Marceau), who may be the next target of Renard (Carlyle), a known terrorist. Plot: Years after a horrific accident, a vulcanist (Brosnan) is sent to the quiet town of Dante’s Peak after reports of slight geological happenings with the local mountain. After arriving, he befriends the town’s mayor (Hamilton), and starts to worry the local mountain may be less dormant than people think. When he goes to warn the town, however, his boss shuts him down, saying there isn’t any need. Little does anyone know how wrong he is…

After 14 months of imprisonment, he is traded for Zao (Yune), the right-hand man of the general Bond killed before being captured. With a leak in British Intelligence, and Bond as the primary suspect, Bond must go on his own to track down Zao and find out what his association is with billionaire Gustav Graves (Stephens).
