Plot: It’s 1976, and one-hit wonder Jackie Moon (Ferrell) has used the profits from the success of his chart-topping song “Love Me Sexy” to achieve his dream of owning a basketball team. But Moon’s franchise, the Flint Michigan Tropics, is the worst team in the league and in danger of folding when the ABA announces its plans to merge with the NBA. If they want to survive, Jackie and the Tropics must now do the seemingly impossible - win.

Plot: LA cops Will Dormer (Pacino) and Hap Eckhart (Donovan) are sent to Nightmute, Alaska to investigate the horrific murder of a 17-year old girl. After covering up an accidental shooting death, Dormer falls into a deep web of lies and deceit with mystery writer Walter Finch (Williams). His thinking marred by the 24-hour daylight, Dormer struggles to find his way out, and avoid local cop Ellie Burr’s (Swank) questions.
