Nim’s Island (2008)
Plot: Nim (Breslin) lives on a magical island with her scientist father. When her father is lost at sea and the island is invaded, she calls out to her favorite author Alexandra (Foster) to come save her. Unfortunately, Alexandra is nothing like the heroic character Alex Rover (Butler) she has created. Based on the novel by Wendy Orr and Kerry Millard.
Flightplan (2005)
Plot: Kyle (Foster) has recently lost her husband. Now, she and her daughter have the unfortunate task of bringing his body back to America from Germany. 3 hours into their flight, however, Kyle wakes to find her daughter missing - and no record of her ever being on board. As she races to find her daughter, she must decide if the world has gone crazy - or just her.
Panic Room (2002)
Plot: Meg Altman (Foster) and her daughter find a place in Manhattan previously owned by a rich wheelchair-bound recluse, Sidney Perlstein. Sidney, being a bit paranoid, has installed a panic room: a safe room totally shut off from the rest of the house with it’s own air supply, buried phone line, and emergency supplies. Meg finds out she needs this room much sooner than she expected, because three men break in her first evening in the house. They are after ol’ Sidney’s hidden safe. The only problem? The safe is in the panic room…and now so are Meg and her daughter.
