Plot: It’s 1938, and Reporter Polly Perkins (Paltrow) is investigating the mysterious disappearance of 6 scientists when, without warning, huge robots attack the major capitals of the world, stealing generators, killing innocents…and then leaving. Plot: Randall “Memphis” Raines (Cage) was a car thief - one of the best, in fact - until he quit the life, 6 years ago. When his brother, Kip (Ribisi), gets in trouble from big-time thug Raymond Calitri (Eccleston), Memphis has to go back to life, and steal 50 cars for Calitri in one night…or Kip dies. On top of that, he’s got a cop (Lindo) who is dying to nab him for grand theft auto and a gang of car thieves that want him dead. A remake of the 1974 film.
Plot: Seth Davis (Ribisi) has a successful, if illegal, business: he runs a small-time casino out of his home. Then his whole life is turned around when he meets George (Katt), a successful stockbroker at a small firm, JT Marlin. Seth is convinced to get a job at JT Marlin. He’s good at what he does there. The only problem: it may not be entirely legal.
