In an interview shot earlier in the day, Orton says he will disappoint the fans when he beats Michaels, since Michaels cannot win without his superkick. Michaels responds by saying that Orton tried to take away his career, so tonight he’s taking the WWE Championship

Backstage, Todd Grisham interviews Triple H’s team about their upcoming match. Jeff Hardy says that taking out Matt Hardy only lit a fire underneath them. After a couple of apoligies between Triple H, Kane and Jeff Hardy, Triple H tells them they will take out their aggresion tonight on their opponents.

Backstage, Vince McMahon comes up to a still worried Hornswoggle, and tells him he made the match tonight because Hornswoggle is a McMahon, and McMahons can overcome anything. In fact, Vince continues, he himself has overcome Time-Warner and the United States Government.
Shane McMahon comes out to introduce his father, Vince McMahon, and his half-brother, Hornswoggle.
The Great Khali def. Hornswoggle by DQ after Finlay attacks Khali with a shillelagh.
Randy Orton def. Shawn Michaels in a “No DQ by Orton/No Sweet Chin Music by Michaels” Match to retain his WWE Championship
After the match, Orton tells Michaels to say he’s the future of wrestling. When Orton turns away, Michaels gets up and connects with Sweet Chin Music once again.
Batista def. The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell Match to retain his World Heavyweight Championship, thanks to a returning Edge, who pulls the ref away when The Undertaker is about to win, then hits Undertaker with a steel chair and pushes Batista on over to cover The Undertaker for the win.
After the match, Edge continues to attack The Undertaker with a steel chair.
