• Teddy Long brings out Vickie Guerrero, still in a wheelchair. Vickie introduces “the love of her life”, the new World Heavyweight Champion, Edge. Edge comes out and is presented with the belt. Edge says he wants to thank 2 fans in particular - The Major Brothers. Edge says they aren’t really the Major Brothers, and has the two of them introduce each other. They say their names are actually Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Edge says there is one more person he really needs to thank: Vickie Guerrero. Edge then shows a montage of Vickie watching him rehabilitate after his injury and their following courtship. He then also goes on to thank Batista, who Edge will be defending his World Heavyweight Champion against tonight. Edge thanks Batista for “filling in” for him while he was out.

Now, in 10 days, he has to face the “best wrestler in the business today”, Triple H. He knows that Triple H will bring everything, and if Flair does lose, he’ll know that he lost to the best.

  • JBL comes out to give his “Farewell Address” to SMACKDOWN, as he is joing the RAW roster as a wrestler. He says they should save time and just write his name on the title, because it’s going to be his. But first, he says, he’s going after Chris Jericho.
  • Tazz joins Michael Cole at ringside.
  • Before Edge defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Batista, Vickie Guerrero announces it’s a 3-On-1 Handicap Match with Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder joining Edge.
  • Batista def. Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins & Edge in a 3-On-1 Handicap Match
  • Before Batista can start celebrating, Vickie Guerrero gets on a mic and tells Batista that he must beat Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship, so the match needs to be restarted.
  • Batista def. Edge, Curt & Zack in a 3-On-1 Handicap Match by DQ after he’s hit from behind by a steel chair.
  • After the match, Edge delivers a con-chair-to to Batista while Zack and Curt hold him down. Outside the ring, Vickie Guerrero looks on smiling.
