• Vickie Guerrero is in the ring for the official contract signing for World Heavyweight Championship Match at Night of Champions. She first introduces Batista, who declines her offer to sit. Vickie says that Edge has already signed the contract, then she signs it, as GM of SMACKDOWN. Before Batista signs, Vickie says that she’s aware Batista’s attorney review the contract this morning, but Vickie added an amendment right before the show stating that Batista must be victorious in a match tonight against The Great Khali.
  • Batista says that’s fine, because he’s beat Khali before and he’ll beat him again - just like he’s been World Heavyweight Champion before and he’ll be World Heavyweight Champion again…and the only thing uglier than the beating he’s going to give Edge is the woman Edge is marrying.
  • As Batista is walking away, Vickie says she forgot to mention that she added another clause - if Batista loses his match tonight, not only will he no longer be the #1 Contender, he will, just like The Undertaker, be banished from WWE.

  • CM Punk shows up and says he wants to give Edge his good wishes for July 11th…and he wants to remind Edge he could cash in his Money In The Bank anytime - even during Edge’s wedding.

  • Backstage, Vickie Guerrero is hanging out with her wedding planner, Alicia Fox. Edge comes in and tells her that CM Punk just said he could cash in his Money In The Bank at their wedding. MVP shows up and says he wants to re-negotiate his contract. Vickie tells him she will look at the contract if MVP takes care of CM Punk tonight.

  • MVP def. CM Punk by DQ when the ref catches CM Punk getting his case back from MVP and the ref thinks CM Punk is using the case illegally.
  • Chavo Guerrero and his bodyguard Bam Neely come to the ring. After reminding everyone that he is going to be Edge’s best man, he brings out his new opponent at Night of Champions: Matt Hardy.
