- Edge comes to the ring, accompanied by Vickie Guerrero (still in a wheelchair pushed by Teddy Long), Chavo Guerrero, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins.
- Edge says he’s never been this upset before, and feels like he let himself down, the family down, the fans down and especially Vickie Guerrero down when he lost his World Heavyweight Championship to The Undertaker. Edge promises Vickie he will soon regain his title.
- Chavo says he too feels like he has let the “familia” down by losing his ECW Championship to Kane. Chavo calls Kane a coward for “attacking him from behind,” then also vows to soon become ECW Champion again.
- Vickie - after much booing from the crowd - announces that both Edge and Chavo will have chances to gain their respective championships again at the next pay-per-view, Backlash. She also says that their respective opponents, Kane and The Undertaker, will face each other tonight.
- Matt Hardy def. MVP
- Festus def. Zack Ryder
- It’s announced that if either Kane or The Undertaker refuses to compete tonight, they will both be stripped of their respective championships.
- A recap of Ric Flair’s farewell address on RAW 03.31.08 is shown.
- Shawn Michaels comes to the ring. He says he tried to express the emotions he’s been going through since his match against Ric Flair on RAW 03.31.08, and he didn’t do a very good job of it. So he came to SMACKDOWN tonight to try to express those feelings again. Michaels says that during Flair’s farewell address he came to the ring and stood face to face with his boyhood idol Ric Flair. As tears came to their eyes, Ric hugged him, bringing a sense of closure for Michaels.
- Batista comes to the ring. He tells Michaels that he’s glad he found closure - but the rest of them haven’t, Batista included. Batista says Wrestlemania was the hardest night of his career - and not because of his match against Umaga. Batista says that he’s taking it a bit personal, knowing he’s ever going to be able to see Flair in the ring again.
- Batista says he knows Michaels has had mixed emotions about the whole thing, because he thinks - deep down - Michaels knows he did the wrong thing. Batista tells him that Michaels let his ego get in the way of his friendship with Flair.
- Batista says that he’d heard the rumors when he started about Michaels’ massive ego, but he ignored them. Now, he realizes that Michaels ego is bigger than ever, and tells Michaels that he could have laid down just once and Flair would still be here - but Michaels’ ego wouldn’t let him. Batista quotes Shawn Michaels, saying he compared the greatest professional wrestler of all time to ‘Old Yeller’ a sick, dying dog. Dropping the mic in disgust, Batista walks out of the ring.
- Vladimir Koslov def. Matt Bentley
- John Morrison & The Miz def. Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang in a Tag Team Match
- After the match, The Great Khali comes to the ring and attacks all Morrison & The Miz before moving on to Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore. As The Great Khali celebrates, The Big Show makes his way to the ring and stands toe-to-toe with Khali.
- The Big Show grabs a mic and tells Khali that Monday night he got into Show’s face, so tonight Show’s in Khali’s face. Khali backs down to a chorus of boos from the crowd and makes his way backstage.
- Teddy Long is in the ring with the owners of Beverly Hills Choppers, and says that tonight a winner will be announced in the SMACKDOWN Divas Contest. The final 2 contestants, Cherry and Michelle McCool, make their way to the ring. And the winner is…Michelle McCool, who wins a custom-made Beverly Hills Chopper.
- Victoria comes out and says the contest was a joke, claiming she’s the #1 Diva. As Victoria and Michelle start fighting, a strange woman comes out and attacks Michelle McCool, throwing Michelle into the ring post before stalking backstage.
- Highlights are shown from Wrestlemania XXIV 03.30.08
- Kane vs. The Undertaker ends in No Contest when they are attacked by Edge, Chavo, Curt & Zack
- The 4 beat down Kane and Undertaker and begin to celebrate - only to have both Kane & Undertaker sit up. Kane & Undertaker get up and knock Curt & Zack out of the ring, before turning to Edge & Chavo. Kane & The Undertaker chokeslam Edge & Chavo, then deliver double tombstones, before standing over their upcoming Backlash opponents and hoisting their championships high.
