- Jeff Hardy def. Umaga to become the new Intercontinental Champion, barely keeping Umaga pinned for the 3-count.
- After the match, a very upset Umaga starts tearing up the announcers’ table before storming off to the back.
- Backstage, Mr. McMahon and Coach are standing around, with Vince’s lawyers in the back. Carlito, sporting a new haircut, comes in, and Vince tells him that since Umaga is upset after losing his Intercontinental Championship, Triple H should go against Carlito and Umaga, not just Carlito. Carlito agrees.
- Santino Marella is standing by Maria’s dressing room, and asks her if she’s ready for her rematch against Beth Phoenix tonight. Maria says he should have checked with her before asking Mr. McMahon for the rematch, as she’s still “hurtin’” from last week. Santino says he will be there to support her, and he “knows her better than she knows herself”.
- GM William Regal is backstage, and asks a stagehand to let him know when Cena arrives. Melina comes up, and says she feels a little akward that the whole McMahon family is here tonight, especially after the “meeting” she had with Vince awhile back. Telling him the sordid details grosses Regal out, and he leaves. Melina turns around, only to find Stephanie standing there, threatening to slap her. She turns back the other way…and Linda is there. Linda glares down at Melina, then slaps her…and Ron Simmons shows up to put his 2 cents in.
- Santino escorts Maria to the ring for her match, grabs a mic, and tells Ron Simmons that when his arm is better, he’s going to embarass Simmons. Santino goes on to slam on everyone else…until The Sandman’s music hits. Santino insults The Sandman, and The Sandman knocks Santino up the ramp with a series of cane shots.
- Beth Phoenix def. Maria with ease
- After the match, Beth Phoenix grabs a mic and says she’s cashing in her chance at the Women’s Championship at Unforgiven 09.16.07. Calling herself a “glamazon”, Phoenix again attacks Maria. Candice Michelle comes to the ring to check on Maria, and Beth smiles and backs off.
- Photos are shown of bruising that John Cena’s father sustained due to Randy Orton’s attack.
- Regal is in the ring, and shows what Orton did to John Cena’s father after Mr. McMahon told Orton to “prove” how much he wanted a rematch. Regal goes on to say that Orton was supposed to be here tonight, but Regal gave him the night off - but he has Orton live via satellite. Orton says that Cena did this to himself…and he could have stopped it by granting Orton’s request for a rematch. Regal announces that at Unforgiven 09.16.07, John Cena will face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Orton thanks Regal, and says he hopes John Cena’s father never forgives him for what he let happen. Cena comes out and makes his way to the ring. Staring down Regal, a visibly distraught Cena attacks Regal, throwing him into the announcers’ table before putting him in the STFU until officials finally pull Cena off.
- Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch make their way to the announcers’ table for the next match.
- Brian Kendrick & Paul London def. The World’s Greatest Tag Team in a Tag Team Match to become the #1 Contenders for the World Tag Team Championship and will face Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch at Unforgiven 09.16.07
- After the match, Cade & Murdoch make their way t the ring, and applaud London & Kendrick and shake their hands.
- Sitting in an ambulance back in the garage, Rega is being looked at by EMTs…and Shane McMahon walks by.
- In the locker room, Carlito tells Umaga that Triple H was laughing when Umaga lost his Intercontinental Championship tonight.
- Mr. McMahon is talking to his lawyers, and is asking them money questions. Vince pauses, and tells Coach that since Regal’s in bad shape, Coach will have to “step up” again. One of Vince’s lawyers says that maybe they should listen to the litigation from his family and settle. Vince fires him.
- Jillian Hall & Daivari come to the ring for their match. Saying she has a new album coming out just like Lillian does, Jillian - despite having her wisdom teeth recently removed - Jillian and Daivari start singing…until they are interrupted by Mickie James and Cody Rhodes making their way to the ring.
- Cody Rhodes & Mickie James def. Daivari & Jillian Hall in a Mixed Tag Team Match
- Triple H def. Umaga & Carlito in a Handicap Match by DQ after Carlito and Umaga are both in the ring for more than a 10-count.
- After the match, Carlito and Umaga keep up their attack on Triple H, with Umaga trying to run a chair into Triple H’s head. Triple H dodges, grabs a chair himself and attacks Carlito and Umaga. Carilto is knocked out of the ring quickly, but Umaga only falls to a knee after numerous chair shots. Giving up on the chair, Triple H climbs out of the ring to grab his trusty sledgehammer, and knocks Umaga down with one shot. When Umaga rises back to his knees, Triple H delivers another sledgehammer shot to Umaga as Carlito scampers up the ring.
- Coach and Mr. McMahon make their way to the ring, accompanied by Vince’s lawyers. Saying it’s “all about the money”, Vince says all his family is looking for is a hand-out. Linda comes out and says she’s CEO of WWE, she doesn’t need his money…and, thanks to Vince’s assistant parading all those women Vince has slept with on national TV, she could sue him for everything he has. Stephanie comes out, and Vince sas he’s put a video together for her, and called it “A Father’s Love”. The video plays - and turns out being all about Vince beating Stephanie and Linda in the ring. Upset, Vince blames Coach…until Triple H appears on the video screen, who said he had nothing to do with that..and says “hi” to Stephanie. Stephanie says he loves Vince, but he’s sick, and if he doesn’t get help, he should step down as Chairman. Shane comes out and says he doesn’t know which Vince he’s talking to: the pioneer, or the “arm-flapping, grapefruit-swaying, death-faking, egomaniacal lunatic”. Shane goes on to say Vince needs to think of his legacy, and change…and Shane says he would be happy to have a brother. Vince says that all of the daliances they have been talking about have all been lies…and says he has only been unfaithful once in his life…with the woman who has his illegitimate child. Kneeling down, Vince vows to be a better human. Mr. Kennedy comes out, and says that he is Vince’s son. Stephanie asks for proof, and he says he doesn’t need proof. He turns to Vince, and says he doesn’t need to change…because Vince inspired him. Vince hugs Mr. Kennedy…and a lawyer comes out to say that he represents the woman who fathered his son, and says the DNA tests have proven that his son is a WWE wrestler…and is not Mr. Kennedy. He says his client will not reveal who Vince’s son is until next week’s RAW, but she will give Vince a clue: “Things are looking up”
