• Triple H’s music hits, the crowd goes nuts…and King Booker walks out with Queen Sharmell. King Booker, saying he is the only true king, bans Triple H from using the “king of kings” phrase anymore. He then walks over to Jerry “The King” Lawler and asks him to stop using the “king” in his name. Jerry agrees, but when Booker asks him to kiss the royal ring, Jerry refuses. Upset, Booker takes a cheap shot at Jerry. When Jerry fights back, Booker backs away and hides behind the refs that have come in to seperate them.
  • Ric Flair predicts John Cena will defeat Lashley at The Great American Bash.
  • Jeff Hardy wins the 4-Way Elimination Match to become the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship and will face Umaga for the title at The Great American Bash.

  • Santino Marella tells Maria that every time he loses he feels like a fraud, and wants to quit. Maria consoles him and accepts his invitation to stay with him tonight and have him make pancakes for breakfast.
  • Batista predicts Lashley will defeat John Cena at The Great American Bash.

  • Cody Rhodes tells Todd Grisham that Randy Orton won’t be able to RKO his father’s legacy, and that he is planning on making a good impression tonight in his RAW debut.
  • Jerry Lawler is in the ring and explains the rules of a Texas Bullrope Match.

  • After the match, Orton goes to deliver the running knee to Cody’s head, but Dusty, tending to his son in the ring, turns around in time to block Orton, causing Orton to back away warily.
  • “Stone Cold” Steve Austin predicts John Cena will defeat Lashley at The Great American Bash.
  • Melina def. Mickie James thanks to a distraction by Beth Phoenix while Candice Michelle watches from ringside.
  • Edge will make a major announcement this Friday on SmackDown.
  • William Regal tells “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan that Coach wants to bronze the board he carries around all the time. “Hacksaw” argues with him until an exasperated Regal makes a comment about putting Hacksaw’s “massive piece of wood in his hand”. Ron Simmons overhears, and chimes in with his comment, much to Regal’s embarrassment.
  • Mick Foley predicts Lashley will defeat John Cena at The Great American Bash.
  • The Sandman def. Carlito by DQ when William Regal starts attacking Sandman.
  • After the match, Carlito and Regal keep beating on The Sandman until “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan comes in and starts swinging his 2×4, chasing Carlito and Regal out of the ring.
  • JBL predicts John Cena will defeat Lashley at The Great American Bash.

  • Coach is in the ring for the “Face-Off” and introduces John Cena and Lashley. Coach asks Cena if he feels that his title reign will end this Sunday. Cena jokes about it, saying that was the first question in history. Cena then turns to Lashley, and tells him he will get his best at The Great American Bash. Coach asks Lashley what message he was trying to send when he speared Cena. Lashley says he doesn’t talk, Coach can let Cena hype the match, and when he’s done, Lashley is ready to fight. When Coach gets upset, Lashley starts stalking toward his podium, but stops when Coach says if he does anything, he loses his title shot. Cena says that Lashley’s aggression will be his downfall, and if he lets it control him, he will exit the arena on Sunday without the title. Lashley starts walking down the ring towards Cena, but refs force him into the back. Cena then says that people say Lashley is invincible, but at The Great American Bash, Cena will put that to the test. Lashley comes back down the ring, Cena comes out to meet him. They stand face-to-face outside the ring, Lashley pushes Cena, and Cena hits back before they are separated.
