- Shane McMahon, saying he wants to restore the dignity and respect to the McMahon family name, calls out Lashley and tells him that Lashley is going to be in a match tonight for his ECW Championship…against Shane McMahon. Umaga comes down the ramp, but Shane McMahon sends him to the back, slapping Umaga’s manager Estrada in the process. Lashley says the match sounds fine to him, but they should make it interesting: if Shane wins, he becomes the ECW Champion; if Lashley wins, he gets to shave Shane bald, just like his father. Shane agrees.

- Backstage, Mick Foley shows around the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Michal Pena, who is tonight’s honorary general manager
- Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade def. Carlito & Ric Flair in a Tag Team Match, so will now face The Hardys for the Tag Team Championship at Backlash 04.29.07
- After the match, Carlito storms away, leaving Ric Flair looking perplexed in the ring

- Thanks to interference from Edge while the referee is down, Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship ends in a draw when both Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton’s shoulders are pinned to the mat for a count of 3.

- On The Cutting Edge, Edge says that since both Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels technically lost their #1 Contender’s Match, he should be the one to face John Cena for the WWE Championship at Backlash 04.29.07. Randy Orton comes out and says he should be the #1 Contender. Shawn Michaels comes out and says he should be the #1 Contender. John Cena comes out and tells all 3 of them to quit whining, and he’ll take any of them on anytime they want. Jonathan Coachman comes out and says that since only Randy Orton and Edge came to talk to him, it’s going to be John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge at Backlash 04.29.07. Mick Foley comes out and says that tonight, Coach isn’t the one who gets to make the big decision. Make-A-Wish’s Michael Pena comes out and declares it’s going to be John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship at Backlash 04.29.07
- Lashley def. Shane McMahon by DQ (so doesn’t get to shave Shane McMahon’s head) after Shane intentionally punches the referee.
- After the match, Umaga, Estrada and Mr. McMahon come down to the ring. While Umaga attacks Lashley, Shane McMahon hits Lashley in the head with a steel chair, while a smiling Mr. McMahon looks on. Mr. McMahon pauses the beating to tell Lashley that at Backlash 04.29.07 it will be Lashley vs. Umaga, Shane McMahon and Mr. McMahon in a 3-On-1 Handicap Match for the ECW Championship
