God Of War II: The End Begins

God Of War II

Normally, I don’t talk much about video games, but I just saw a preview for God Of War II: The End Begins (available exclusively for the Playstation 2) and just had to mention it. One of the best games I’ve ever played is coming out with a sequel. How could I not mention it?

God Of War let players become Kratos, a warrior who had pledge his soul to Ares, the God of War. When Ares used him to destroy Kratos’ family, Kratos pledged the destruction of the God, journey across deserts, Athens, and even onto the back of a Titan to defeat Ares, and replace him on the throne as the new God of War.

With his Blades of Chaos permanently attached to his wrists, ash-covered Kratos carved his way through a whole slew of Minotaurs, Cyclops, Medusae, Harpies and other mythological creatures in some of the most intense, detailed and expansive gameplay ever.

Once you pick up God Of War you can’t put it down. Around every corner lurks new dangers and new puzzles to guide Kratos through, with each scene so intense it’ll leave you breathless.

To add to the fun, the original also contained tons of extras, including 3 modes of game play, and - after you beat the game - the “God” mode, which is harder than the other 3 modes put together!

And guess what? Kratos isn’t done yet! As God Of War II begins, Kratos is firmly in place as the new God Of War. Despite his accomplishments, he continues to be tormented by his personal demons, and becomes more ruthless and bloodthirsty than Ares ever was. Determined to finally rid himself of his nightmares, he sets out to do what no mortal has ever done: change his own fate - even if that means taking on all the Gods of Olympus.

And, as luck would have it, this great sequel is hitting stores in March - just in time for my birthday! Hopefully, I’ll be fully engaged in battle Kratos’ new foes by that month’s end.

Now, if only March would get here sooner….
