- November 21, 2006: After The Big Show starts attacking Lashley, Lashley fights back with the ECW Championship belt, forcing The Big Show out of the ring
- December 03, 2006: Lashley def. The Big Show, Test, Hardcore Holly, and CM Punk in the Extreme Elimation Chamber at December To Dismember to become the new ECW Champion. Paul Heyman was dismissed by Vince McMahon after the show.
- December 05, 2006: Lashley def. The Big Show on ECW to retain the ECW Championship. After the match, The Big Show decides to take a break from wrestling.
- December 19, 2006: ecw.com fans voted for Lashley’s opponent on January 02, 2007 for the ECW Championship. The three choices: Test, Sabu or RVD. Later on, Test def. Sabu and RVD in a Triple Threat Match. After the match, the results were in, and Tazz announced that RVD (with 45% of the vote) will be Lashley’s opponent.
