- Mr. McMahon makes a statement, saying that last night, RAW showcased a tribute to Chris Benoit’s career. 26 hours later, the facts of the case are “now apparent”, and aside from his comments, Chris Benoit’s name will not be mentioned in tonight’s show. Instead the first step of the healing process will begin for all those affected by these shocking events, and WWE superstars will do what they do best - entertain.

- “Rowdy” Roddy Piper comes to an ECW ring for the first time. Matt Striker interrupts Piper, says it is Striker’s birthday…and he’s brought along a cake. Striker asks Piper if he will sing “Happy Birthday” to him, since he’s a big fan. Piper gets the fans to start singing “Happy Birthday” to Striker, but when he gets to Striker’s name, he pauses…and shoves the cake into Striker’s face before finishing the song. Piper leaves…and The Boogeyman enters the ring. Striker backs away, but Piper pushes him back into The Boogeyman, who proceeds to spit worms into Striker’s mouth.
- In an interview with Tazz and Joey Styles, Johnny Nitro says he lost tonight because he has a cold and a high fever, and John Cena “got lucky”.
- CM Punk wins the 1st and 3rd falls of a 2-Out-Of-3-Falls Match to become the #1 Contender for the ECW World Championship
