Daniel Craig works the system in ‘The Invasion’
It’s funny how time changes things doesn’t it? And no, I’m not talking about the fact that The Invasion (2007) is the 4th reincarnation of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. I’m actually talking about Daniel Craig.
When The Invasion was originally shot back in 2005, Craig hadn’t yet tuxed up for Bond in Casino Royale. Now, I know that when Pierce Brosnan was James Bond, he was actually not allowed to wear a tuxedo for any other film (it was part of his contract). If the same is true for Daniel Craig, then The Invasion (2007) exploits a loophole. Since it was technically made in his pre-Bond days (although it wasn’t released until 2007 thanks to script problems), he pops up in a tuxedo at one point in the film.
Way to work the system, Daniel Craig! Now if you can only work on your acting so Quantum Of Solace will actually be worth watching…
