Synopsis:
In an instant, a mysterious pulse turns every person using a cell phone into a zombie. With the world going insane around them and mankind falling into a new Dark Age, a few survivors must make a harrowing cross-country journey to Maine. Based on the novel by Stephen King.
Our Thoughts:
After reading the book, I was excited to hear this was being made into a movie. It seems ready-made for a movie adaptation, as each scene is so vivid the viewer can see it happening. Zombies + Cell Phones - best horror flick of 2007? It could be.
But with Eli Roth helming, will he be able to make this film one of the best Stephen King adaptations to date, or will he fall back into what he’s used to these days (the horrendous Hostel garbage)? Hopefully, Eli will be able to bring back the spark that he showed in Cabin Fever, and be able to prove once again he’s actually can be a good director.
