Sahara (2005)

Plot: While in Africa, World Health Organization doctor Eva (Cruz) discovers a mysterious disease is infecting the people. Determined to discover the source of this plague, she hitches a ride to war-torn Mali with Dirk Pitt, a treasure seeker working for N.U.M.A. - The National Underwater and Marine Agency. Pitt and old pal Al Giordino (Zahn), following the trail of a gold confederate coin, are searching for an ironclad Civil War ship Dirk believes disappeared somewhere near Mali. Based on the novel by Clive Cussler.

Plot: Two men, Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Elwes) and Adam (Whannell) wake up in a dirty, bare-walled room, each chained by the leg to their side. In the middle lies a dead man with a gun. They are the latest victims of the Jigsaw Killer - a maniac that puts people into insane situations, then lets them decide the outcome.

Saw II (2005)

Plot: Following clues leads Det. Matthews (Wahlberg) and his fellow cops straight to Jigsaw (Bell). But, they’ve gotten there too late, as Jigsaw’s already started a new game, which he’s watching via video hookup. In this game, Matthews’ son Daniel (Knudsen) and 7 other people are locked in a house with no way out - and poison gas seeping in.

Plot: Jigsaw (Bell) and his apprentice (Smith) kidnap a doctor (Soomekh) to keep Jigsaw alive so he can watch one last test he’s devised. The test gives a father (MacFadyen) a choice: forgive the people who caused him so much grief after his son died…or do nothing and let them die horrible deaths.

Saw IV (2007)

Plot: Jigsaw (Bell), as well as his apprentice Amanda (Smith), have died. After hearing of Detective Kerry’s murder, two veteran FBI agents assist Detective Hoffman (Mandylor) in sorting out the remains of Jigsaw’s last game. However, SWAT Team Commander Rigg (Bent) has been put into a deadly game himself, and has only an hour and a half to prevail over a series of twisted, horrifying traps to save an old friend, as well as himself, from a grisly demise.

Plot: 7 years from now, the government is fighting a losing battle against addiction to a new drug - Substance D. One agent (Reeves) has infiltrated a group of drug-using friends, whose paranoia makes them terrified of each other - and of spies. There is only one problem - he’s becoming addicted himself. Based on the novel by Philip K. Dick.

The Scorpion King (2002)

Plot: In this prequel to The Mummy series, Ancient Egypt is under attack by an evil tyrant, Memnon (Brand), who along with his sorcerer’s ability to see the future, seems to be unstoppable. The remaining free tribes of Egypt grudgingly join forces and send a trio of Akkadin assassins, led by Mathayus (The Rock), to kill this sorcerer (Hu). However, Mathayus decides that Memnon is the greater threat.

When the Alliance comes looking for River, Mal discovers that not only is she a powerful weapon, but she holds within her mind a secret that could destroy the Alliance. A waitress at the nightclub points out Wade (Bale), the son of a powerful real estate tycoon. After being freed on bail, Wade skips town for years. Now he’s back, and Shaft is looking for justice.

Plot: Shaun (Pegg) has a humdrum job, a friend who mooches off of him and a girlfriend who just broke up with him because he wasn’t “going anywhere”. Everyone he knows thinks he’s living a dead-end life. When zombies attack, Shaun must finally make a decision: get up off his couch or die without having ever really lived.

Shooter (2007)

Plot: Ex-Marine Bob Lee Swagger (Wahlberg) is approached and asked to plot a sharpshooter attack on the President Of The US. He does so, after being assured the plan he draws up is to be used to prevent such a sniper attack from happening. When he is double-crossed and framed for the shooting of a diplomat, Swagger has to uncover who set him up - and why. Kinda hard to do, since the whole country is on the lookout for him.

Shrek (2001)

Plot: When Lord Farquaad (Lithgow) starts relocating fairy-tale creatures, they all run to the swamp - the home of Shrek the ogre (Myers). To get rid of them, he must rescue princess Fiona (Diaz) from a fire-breathing dragon and bring her back to marry Farquaad (Lithgow) before he will clear out Shrek’s swamp. Animated.

Plot: After their honeymoon, Shrek (Myers) and Princess Fiona (Diaz) are invited to visit Fiona’s parents in their kingdom of Far Far Away. The catch? Fiona’s parents don’t know about their daughter’s choice of husband - or her new look. Plus, the Fairy Godmother (Saunders) isn’t happy that Fiona didn’t marry her son, Prince Charming (Everett). Add in an assassin named Puss In Boots (Banderas), and Shrek, Fiona and Donkey (Murphy) are in big trouble. Animated.

Plot: Welcome to Sin City, a town full of characters. Like Hartigan (Willis), the last honest cop in town, who races to save a young girl from a psychotic son of a sentator. Or Dwight (Owen), who is determined to help the girls of Old Towne in their fight against the mob. Based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel series of the same name.

The Skeleton Key (2005)

Plot: Caroline (Hudson), sick of the big city way of doing things, answers an ad for a hospice caretaker in a small town in Louisiana. Her patient, Ben (Hurt), had a stroke in the attic of the plantation he shares with his wife Violet (Rowlands). The longer Caroline stays, the more she uncovers about plantation’s history. The more she learns, the more certain she is that something strange is going on in that house…but what?

Plot: It’s 1938, and Reporter Polly Perkins (Paltrow) is investigating the mysterious disappearance of 6 scientists when, without warning, huge robots attack the major capitals of the world, stealing generators, killing innocents…and then leaving. Sky High (2005)

Plot: Will Stronghold (Angarano) is just about to enter high school. Because of his superhero heritage, he doesn’t attend just any high school - he is going to Sky High, a high school for future superheroes and their sidekicks. The only problem - he hasn’t discovered his super power yet.

Sneakers (1992)

Plot: Martin Bishop (Redford) leads a team of “security advisors”. They are hired to break into secured buildings by the owners to test the security of those buildings. When Bishop is approached by the NSA to steal a mysterious black box from a prominent mathematician, he refuses. But, when the NSA threatens to expose his past, as well as the past of his team, he reconsiders. As the team gets deeper involved, however, they find themselves involved with in a deadly race for the little black box.

Plot: When racecar driver Speed Racer (Hirsch) turns down a lucrative contract with the underhanded Royalton Industries, he must beat Royalton at their own game. With the support of his family and his loyal girlfriend, Trixie (Ricci), Speed teams with his one-time rival—the mysterious Racer X (Fox)—to win the race that had taken his brother’s life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.

Spider-Man (2002)

Plot: Peter Parker (Maguire) is a bit of an outcast at school with only one friend, and a girl he’s madly in love with (Dunst), but too shy to talk to. After being bitten by a “super” spider on a class field trip, he’s amazed to discover he’s taken on the characteristics of the spider! All is not well, however, as the father of his friend, Norman Osborn (Dafoe), experiments with a bit of “super serum” of his own and becomes the maniacal Green Goblin. It’s up to Peter to stop him, before the Green Goblin can ruin his life.

Plus, a mysterious alien symbiote is lurking around…and that’s bound to cause trouble.

Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)

Plot: The crew of the Enterprise, lead by Jean-Luc Picard (Stewart), are on their way to the home planet of Deanna Troi (Sirtis) to celebrate her marriage to Will Riker (Frakes) when Data’s (Spiner) prototype, torn to pieces on a planet, is discovered - and they receive an nvitation to visit long-time enemies - the Romulans. As they try to puzzle out the unexpected appearance of the Data protoype, they meet the new ruler of the Romulans: Shinzon (Hardy), a genetic clone for Captain Picard!

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)

Plot: The planet of Naboo is under attack by the Trade Federation, which is being run secretly by the Sith - the dark Jedis. Obi Wan (McGregor) and Qui Gon (Neeson) show up to negotiate a treaty between the Trade Federation and the Naboo. When negotiations fail, they must help Queen Amidala (Portman) defeat the Trade Federation for the control of the planet Naboo - and pick up a little boy named Anakin Skywalker (Lloyd) on the way.

Plot: It’s been 10 years since The Phantom Menace. As Obi Wan (Kenobi)searches for the mysterious figure who is trying to get the Ex-Queen of Naboo (now Senator) Amidala (Portman) killed, Anakin (Christensen) makes googly-eyes at, er, protects the Senator. Meanwhile, the Dark Side grows stronger, and Yoda and the other Jedi Masters try to find out who’s behind this new power.

With the help of Professor Hilbert (Hoffman), Harold discovers he’s the main character of a novel-in-progress and that the voice belongs to Karen Eiffel (Thompson), an author famous for killing her main characters.

Sudden Death (1995)

Plot: Darren (Van Damme) has taken his kids to work. The kids don’t mind. After all, Darren’s the fire marshall at game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. But, when his daughter is kidnapped, along with the Vice President of the United States, they don’t feel so lucky. Added to that, the man that’s kidnapped Darren’s daughter (Boothe) is going to blow up the entire place if his demands aren’t met by the end of the game. Now, with the FBI and police unable to get into the building, it’s up to Darren to save the 17,000 fans, including his daughter and the Vice President….and the clock is ticking.

Swordfish (2001)

Plot: Stanley Jobson (Jackman) is having a rough time. After being arrested for hacking the FBI, he was sent to jail. Now that he’s out, he’s lost custody of his daughter to his wife and her new husband, a porn producer. He works a dead end job, lives in a trailer, and won’t ever get his daughter back. It’s look bleak, until Ginger (Berry) introduces him to Gabriel (Travolta), a man in need of his computer talents, and willing to pay him $10 million for them. All Stanley has to do is help Gabriel electronically steal a government slush fund.
