Plot: Meg Altman (Foster) and her daughter find a place in Manhattan previously owned by a rich wheelchair-bound recluse, Sidney Perlstein. Sidney, being a bit paranoid, has installed a panic room: a safe room totally shut off from the rest of the house with it’s own air supply, buried phone line, and emergency supplies. Meg finds out she needs this room much sooner than she expected, because three men break in her first evening in the house. They are after ol’ Sidney’s hidden safe. The only problem? The safe is in the panic room…and now so are Meg and her daughter.

Plot: A young boy (Hanks) is awakened on Christmas Eve by a train that pulls up right outside his house. The Conductor (Hanks) tells him the train is bound for The North Pole. Doubtingly, the boy steps aboard and begins a wonderous journey aboard The Polar Express. Animated. Based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg.

Plot: A New Year’s Eve aboard the cruise liner Poseidon is about to go horribly wrong as an enormous rogue wave capsizes the massive ship. In the aftermath of the wave, in a world suddenly turned upside down, a few passengers must do what they can to reach the surface.
